Here the three-dimensional spin current solver was applied to the quantitative analysis of the spin Hall angle in Pt by reproducing published experimental data on the ferromagnetic resonance linewidth in the Ni80Fe20/Pt bilayer geometry. This is shown below, indicating the FMR configuration, together with the generated z-direction spin current, z-direction pumped spin current and Oersted field.
From the change in the FMR resonance peak with charge current density the spin Hall angle was obtained for a range of spin diffusion length values and various interface conditions. For details see S. Lepadatu, Sci. Rep. 7, 12937 (2017).
